Hello! I’m Katherine Osborn and this is my blog:) This post will just give you a little glimpse into my life and who I am!

I come from a wonderful family who has been the biggest support to me and has gotten me to this place where I feel confident and ready to embark on this mission trip. My parents raised my siblings and I in a Christian home and fostered each of our individual faith from a very young age. Their wisdom and guidance throughout my life have encouraged and inspired me to live a Godly and gospel-filled life. During high school, I thoroughly enjoyed leading a small group of junior high girls at my church and loved counseling for two summers at a local church camp, Hidden Acres Christian Center. It’s from these two positions that I found my love for discipling people and sharing the gospel and also found my love for children and youth ministry. Also in high school, I had the wonderful opportunity to go on two mission trips to the Dominican Republic. It was from these trips that I found my love for overseas missions and realized how comfortable I am with the idea of being away from home in a different country.

I am currently a freshman at Des Moines Area Community College in Ames, Iowa, and am working towards an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts so I can transfer to Iowa State and get a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in history. With this degree, I hope to be able to teach history/social studies to junior high or high school-aged students. However, my greatest hope and desire for a “career” is to be a wife and a mother.

As I continue to post on this blog I hope you will be able to learn more about me, my life, and my heart. Thank you for reading!
